Another great meeting & delicious breakfast

This morning we all trouped out in the near darkness to head to Sue’s Country Teapot, I arrived to find Stuart and Jeremy looking over the shoulder of Stuart H who was showing them the new website he’s been building, before I could get a look our guest Carole arrived and soon we were engaging in talk of arthritic Labradors and the benefits of massage in older dogs. Becky the owner of the cafe arrived with a pot of tea, she knows I’m a tea person and makes me feel so welcome by always bringing me my own pot.

Stuart kicked off the meeting and in the short time that I’ve been a member I’ve noticed how much more relaxed he’s getting when he presents and how we’re getting to see the real Stuart. One thing I think we can all agree on is there’s such a nice atmosphere to these networking meetings, everyone feels like old friends even if you’ve just met them and I feel so much happier doing business with people who I genuinely like.

Our guest speaker had been unable to attend but this gave us a chance to plan for the new website which will have a members area with links to our websites, social media as well as displaying our logos, so we wrote down our blurb (with a bit of advice from Colin first) and added our numbers and all the info we could think to add.

Today I had my 1-2-1 meetings with Jeremy to talk about the Mid Norfolk Business Show, then with Carole to discuss her practice and how she works in connection with veterinary surgeries. Then it was my turn to speak with Stuart H about the website. I was so excited, that was until I realised I’d have to input all the information we’d collected on our cards!! But seriously the website is really all singing and dancing and will be mainly automated with an online booking system and newsletter sign up and so the geek in me is very excited about some of the back end features.
We finished on time today so well done Mr Day, keep up the good work.
 – Sarah

Today the attendees were:

Stuart & Jean -Paul – Anglia Computer Solutions
They told us about their shops in Swaffham, Downham Market and Wymondham, about the refurbished Macs they sell for half the price of a new one. They also reminded us that they do network security.

Tim – Grow Your Business
Time reminded us that he’s more than an accountant, he gets right to the depths of your business and can either show you how to make the changes to grow your business or he can make those changes for you.

Stuart – Bright Maintenance
Bright Maintenance cover such a wide range of maintenance issues from fixing a leaking tap to knocking down and rebuilding a garden wall. They’re currently looking for medium sized businesses who’d benefit from a contract to maintain their premises.

Jeremy – Kaisy
Kaisy are focusing on Christmas already – they can do personalised printed gifts such as mugs, money boxes and pencil cases. They’ve also just launched a new line in cushions with a picture of your choice embroidered on the front.

Colin – Presentation Works
Colin talked about the importance of training our younger members of staff to feel happy and comfortable  when pitching to our clients.

Julian- WLP
Julian told us how he helps his clients to make more profit but cutting costs.
He also told us that he has a Gite in Normandy Chez Nous Berjou and he’s offering special discounted prices to 360 Members.
Julian also proudly told us about his son who cycled round Japan raising awareness and money to stop the slaughter of dolphins and then proposed to his girlfriend at the end.

Alex – Alex Howe Leaflet Distribution
Alex is excited that his caravan has been moved to its new site at North Denes, Lowestoft and he’s offering high street voucher of your choice for any referrals that lead to a booking.

Gary – St James Place
Gary talked about protecting those we love most, savings, how to avoid paying unnecessary tax and tax planning. He’d like to talk to anyone who’s interested in securing their finances.

and Sarah – Sarah Ellis Event Management
Sarah is looking for clients who would like to run seminars, training or hospitality events but don’t have the time to do it themselves, she’d loves to manage exhibition stands for companies who can’t be there themselves and she’d love to talk to anyone who’s interested in booking a stand at the Mid Norfolk Business Show or any exhibition and needs some advice.

Today’s guest:

Carole O’Shaugnessy- Dog Massage Norfolk, Carole offers Canine Remedial Massage which can relieve muscle pain, maximise movement, increase vitality in old dogs, help movement in arthritic dogs, aid recovery after injury, speed up recovery time after excercise and help prevent injury in performance dogs.
